Originally from Rockford, Illinois, Deb Karash now lives in the mountains of Western North Carolina.  Her studio is located in the beautiful and popular city of Asheville.  

A full time studio jeweler, Deb sells her work at DebKarash.com and at galleries across the country and teaches workshops around the world and in her studio.   She holds a Master of Arts degree from Northern Illinois University.  When not working she and her partner, David, love to travel, hike, collect art, and work on their home.

For Deb, jewelry is about intimacy.  Historically people have adorned themselves as a way of saying something about themselves, of telling their story.  Jewelry is an art form that we carry out into the world.  It often marks important events in our lives or reminds us of a special time or person.  It’s a great privilege to be a part of these stories.
