This chasing technique is a simpler approach to the traditional method of using pitch. Students will learn how to score the metal, fold it, shape it and then, using a malleable sculpting wax, chase back into the design using traditional chasing tools.

Beginners to Advanced will benefit from this class.
 
MATERIALS & TOOLS
Students are responsible for bringing the following:
Your favorite hand tools (jeweler's saw and blades, hand files, ruler, pliers, etc.)
 
4x6" Sterling silver sheet, 24g
Sterling silver flat/rectangular wire, 1 x 4mm
Silver Wire Solder in Hard, Medium, Easy

Chasing Hammer (Otto Frei Value Line)
Cutting Disc (Dremel Cut-Off Wheel, Zoro)
Sanding Stick/Cushioned Nail File in 80 grit (NailFileStore.com, sold in 50-pack)
Sandpaper Sheets, 220 grit ( 3M No-Slip sheets: Zoro )
Notebook and pencil
Nitrile gloves and face protection (N95 mask, and eye protection)

Once you have enrolled and paid tuition, there are no refunds or credits for Master Series Workshops if you are unable to attend.
By enrolling in a Master Series workshop, you affirm your acceptance of our no refunds policy and represent to us that you possess the appropriate skills to comply with the prerequisites.
