Prerequisite: Metalsmithing 1
In this five-day class, explore the technology and techniques required to work with Argentium Sterling Silver. Students will learn the processes of fusing, fabrication, and granulation, without using solder. Master goldsmith and Certified Master Bench Jeweler, Ronda Coryell, will provide expert instruction and up-close demos.
Students learn the process of fusing both flat and three-dimensional forms. Demonstrations are followed by hands-on experience to create and finish four projects: earrings, two different types of rings, and a pendant. These four projects will be created using no solder. Each project is fabricated by fusing.
